Pengaruh job insecurity terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif melalui mediasi work engagement

Abstract


Inovasi merupakan salah satu cara yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan melalui karyawan untuk tetap bertahan pada persaingan bisnis. Adanya restrukturisasi pada perusahaan berakibat pada penurunan hasil inovasi karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan job insecurity sebagai prediktor perilaku kerja inovatif dengan melibatkan variabel work engagement sebagai variabel mediator. Konsep ketiga variabel tersebut akan di uji berdasarkan dua penelitian yang menghasilkan kesimpulan yang berbeda. De spiegelare (2014)  menyatakan bahwa job insecurity berpangurh negatif terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif karena dipersepsikan sebagain ancaman oleh karyawan. Penelitian berikutnya yang dilakukan oleh Niesen (2018) membuktikan bahwa job insecurity tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisa data menggunakan SEM-PLS dari data hasil survei. Sampel pada penelitian ini melibatkan 194 partisipan pada salah satu perusahaan milik pemerintah yang sedang mengalami restrukturisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa job insecurity berpengaruh signifikan (negatif) terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif. Work engagement berpengaruh signifikan (positif) terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif. Uji mediasi work engagement pada pengaruh job insecurity terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif menunjukan hasil siginifikan. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa pada penelitian ini terjadi mediasi parsial pada pengaruh job insecurity terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif melalui work engagement.
