GM. The main problem identified is the high value of Cost Per Piece (CPP) due to the waste of cutting tools and the lack of classification of insert usage based on material differences, namely K-40 and K-25. To overcome these problems, the Quality Control Circle (QCC) method is used with the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) cycle approach and the help of the Seven Tools analysis tool. This study uses primary data through observation and interviews, as well as secondary data in the form of insert usage history during January-December 2024. The results showed that the application of additional treatment coating to the insert can significantly increase the life time, which has a direct impact on reducing CPP by up to ±50%. In addition, the classification of insert usage based on material also results in efficiency in stock control and decision-making. These findings prove that the QCC method is effective as a continuous improvement strategy in the manufacturing industry, particularly to lower costs without sacrificing product quality.
Henri Ponda Suyanto Suyanto Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-19 2026-01-19 121 130 10.30996/heuristic.v22i2.132876 Consumer Decision Analysis in Purchasing Disposable Diapers Using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) Approach https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/HEURISTIC/article/view/132676
This study aims to examine the variables that impact the purchasing of disposable diapers by using an enlarged Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. Two hundred thirty-two people in Surabaya who were familiar with the use of disposable diapers for either infants or the elderly were surveyed online. A quantitative explanatory approach was used to examine this data. Knowledge, Morality, Tradition, and Perceived Risk are new components of the extended TPB model that take into consideration the specific social and cultural context of Indonesia. For this data analysis, we turned to LISREL, which stands for Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that environmental consciousness, understanding, and ethics significantly affect intent, behavior, and result. Some elements that affect the intention to buy include subjective norms and perceived behavioral control; on the other hand, perceived risk and tradition have an adverse effect on these factors. Consistent with the TPB paradigm when applied to one-time use products, these findings highlight the role of moral and cultural factors in determining responsible consumption behavior. Adding more variables to the TPB model has expanded research on industrial and consumer decision-making behavior.
Aulia Patricia Dellaross Tentua Hediani Wijono Desrina Yusi Irawati Copyright (c) 2026 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-19 2026-01-19 131 140 10.30996/heuristic.v22i2.132676 Formulation of Qualification Criteria for Industrial Engineering Graduates as Production Supervisors in the Manufacturing Industry https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/HEURISTIC/article/view/132880
The role of a production supervisor in manufacturing operations is a key factor in maintaining quality, stability, and the success of the production process. A production supervisor must maintain process effectiveness, output quality, and daily operational stability. Empirically, the scientific field that aligns with the scope of work of a production supervisor is Industrial Engineering. However, there is still a gap between the competencies of Industrial Engineering graduates and the qualifications required by companies for production supervisor positions. To fill this gap, this article aims to formulate qualification criteria for Industrial Engineering graduates interested in filling Production Supervisor positions in the manufacturing industry. The formulation of qualification criteria is based on job qualifications and requirements data from various types of manufacturers, collected through interviews with human resources department representatives and field observations. The research method used is a survey of experts experienced in the selection and development of human capital. Using the affinity diagram, the job qualifications and requirements are grouped into objective criteria, subjective criteria, and absolute requirements. Then, integrating the Pareto principle with the LINMAP method yields prominent qualification criteria. The results show that companies place the greatest emphasis on subjective qualifications, especially attitude (0,43) and software proficiency (0,43), followed by objective qualifications such as technical knowledge (0,36) and educational background (0,3). These findings can be a basis for industry in the employee selection process and for universities in designing competency development programs and career preparation for Industrial Engineering students interested in careers as production supervisors.

Rahman Dwi Wahyudi Evy Herowati I Made Ronyastra Jonathan Andersen Irawan Copyright (c) 2026 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-19 2026-01-19 141 160 10.30996/heuristic.v22i2.132880 Integration of Store Layout Redesign and MySQL-Based Digital Accounting System to Improve Operational Efficiency of Retail SMEs https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/HEURISTIC/article/view/132950
This study aims to improve operational efficiency and financial management at Toko Pink 31 Surabaya by integrating two key components: store layout redesign and the development of a MySQL-based accounting system. The research uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches through observations, interviews, system design, and simulations. The redesigned layout was developed using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method and simulated via AnyLogic software to evaluate customer flow and service bottlenecks. The results showed significant improvements in space utilization, reduced customer congestion, and enhanced overall shopping experience. In parallel, the accounting system was developed using MySQL to automate and structure financial transactions. The system includes modules for product input, sales, purchasing, cost of goods manufactured (COGM) reporting, and daily financial summaries. The implementation of this digital accounting system reduced manual errors, streamlined transaction processing, and provided real-time access to financial data. The integration of both layout optimization and digital accounting demonstrates a comprehensive transformation model for SMEs, particularly in the retail sector. The findings emphasize that combining spatial efficiency and financial digitalization can significantly improve business performance, supporting broader efforts to digitalize micro and small enterprises in Indonesia.
Jaka Purnama Afrigh Fajar Rosyidiin Zainal Arief Copyright (c) 2026 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-19 2026-01-19 161 172 10.30996/heuristic.v22i2.132950 Productivity Rating Method for Labor Productivity Analysis of Packaging Pressing Section, Case Study at PT. X Kudus https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/HEURISTIC/article/view/132953
Human resource or workforce management to achieve profits in a company can be seen from the level of productivity of its workers. The Productivity Rating method is one method used to measure the level of labor productivity. The measure obtained from this method is the Labor Utilization Rate (LUR), where productivity measurements are not only calculated from the time used for the main work (input), but in calculating productivity also involves the time of the work contribution carried out by each worker. In the Productivity Rating method, worker activities are classified into 3 things, namely Essential Contributory Work, Effective Work, and Ineffective Work. The purpose of the research is to analyze the productivity of the packaging pressing department workers at PT X Kudus using the Productivity Rating method. The productivity measure obtained from this analysis is the Labor Utilization Rate (LUR). The results of the productivity rating analysis show that overall the LUR at PT. X Kudus's pressing department is 57.27%, which means that workers in the pressing department are working productively, although in the LUR analysis there is still one worker who is not working productively.
Vera Amanda Putri Richardus Widodo Wahyu Kanti Dwi Cahyani Copyright (c) 2026 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-19 2026-01-19 173 188 10.30996/heuristic.v22i2.132953
