Adolescents often face problems along with developmental stages that cause changes in their physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional. In dealing with these problems they try to find a solution or a way out so that they are able to adjust to the circumstances that occur. Self-adjustment is one of the strongest psychological traits that affect a person's personality, which is very important for students to be able to establish satisfying relationships with others. This study aims to analyze whether there is an influence of parental parenting and self-esteem on adolescent self-adjustment in pesantren. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis techniques. The research subjects were teenagers in one of the boarding schools in Ponorogo. The sample in this study amounted to 110 adolescents from a total population of 189. The sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling. The results of data analysis show that the R square value is 0.253 with a p value = <0.001, which means that there is a significant influence on parenting patterns and self-esteem on adolescent self-adjustment in pesantren by 25.3% simultaneously.Downloads
