Abstract

One of the supporting factors for good government agency performance is the existence of productive civil servants who have thriving at work. Examining how psychological capital and empowering leadership influence public servants' ability to thrive on the job is the primary goal of this research. Quantitative methods based on a correlational approach were employed in this investigation. The information gathered was derived from surveys administered through questionnaires. Using quota sampling approaches, 218 civil servants from 15 government institutions in Purworejo Regency were obtained to participate in this study. Next, SPSS 20 was used to conduct multiple linear regression analyses on the collected data. Psychological capital and empowering leadership were found to have a favourable and considerable impact on thriving at work, although not entirely at the same time. R squared, after adjustment showed 0.377, which means that the psychological capital and Empowering leadership variables can explain Thriving at Work by 37.7%, while the rest can be influenced by other variables. This study shows that increasing the capacity of employee psychological capital and Empowering leadership can increase thriving at work. The implications of this study can be used as a reference for companies and government agencies to pay attention to the development of psychological capital factors and Empowering leadership in developing Thriving at Work so that employee effectiveness and productivity can be increased.
