Safety leadership dan safety performance karyawan

Abstract

Kecelakaan kerja merupakan ancaman bagi perusahaan dan karyawan. Apabila karyawan mengalami kecelakaan kerja maka ia akan berpotensi kehilangan pekerjaan sedangkan perusahaan juga akan mengeluarkan dana lebih untuk rekrutmen atau setidaknya mengalami hambatan produksi. Salah satu cara agar mengurangi resiko kecelakaan kerja adalah dengan meningkatkan safety performance karyawan saat bekerja. Namun, hal tersebut tidak akan tercapai tanpa figur pemimpin yang mengedepankan keselamatan kerja, Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh safety leadership terhadap safety performance karyawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu pabrik yang bergerak di bidang besi dan baja, terletak di Kabupaten Gresik, Jawa Timur. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 76 operator mesin di bidang produksi. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana menggunakan bantuan program SPSS for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai t hitung > t table, yaitu sebesar 8.508 dan signifikansi sebesar 0.000. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa safety leadership berpengaruh terhadap safety performance karyawan.
