Pengaruh Jumlah Kendaraan Terhadap Kerusakan Perkerasan Lentur Di Ruas Jalan Arjosari – Purwantoro (BTS. Jateng)
The Effect of Vehicle Number on Flexible Pavement Damage on the Arjosari – Purwantoro Road Section (BTS, Central Java)
Abstract
The number of motorized vehicles in Pacitan Regency has increased significantly, especially on the Arjosari–Purwantoro road section (Bts. Jateng) which serves as a strategic connecting route between regions in East Java and Central Java. The increase in vehicle volume, especially heavy vehicles, has an impact on accelerating flexible pavement damage. This study aims to determine the value of flexible pavement damage, traffic volume during peak hours, and the relationship between the number of vehicles and road damage on the section. The research methods include road inventory surveys, identification of pavement damage, and recording traffic volumes with analysis using non-linear regression. The results of the study showed that the road damage value (Nr) reached 73.2, the traffic volume during peak hours was 2,709 pcu/hour, and the relationship equation between traffic volume, time, and road damage was obtained, namely y = 0.004728216x₁ + 0.001536993x₂ + 35.64460261 with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.9278. This indicates a strong relationship between the number of vehicles and road damage. This study is expected to be an input for local governments in road maintenance planning to increase the service life of pavements.
