Students with low grit tend to change interests easily and think about changing majors because they feel they have not succeeded in getting the right thing. Increasing grit can be done by developing a growth mindset in individuals. This research aims to test the effectiveness of growth mindset intervention in increasing grit in students. The participants in this research were 17 Makassar State University students divided into two groups (9 participants in the experimental group and 8 participants in the control group). Participants were determined through a purposive sampling technique. The research design used in this study was a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection was carried out using the grit scale (∝ = 0.716). The data analysis techniques used are the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney test. Experimental group participants were proven to experience an increase in grit scores after receiving a growth mindset intervention for two weeks. The findings of this research can make growth mindset intervention a way to increase student grit.
Nur Siti Maghfira Maulani Nurdin, Eva Meizara Puspita Dewi ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/persona/article/view/8242 Sat, 01 Jun 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Iklim sekolah dan perilaku prososial siswa reguler di sekolah inklusif: Bagaimana peran identitas moral sebagai mediator? https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/persona/article/view/11281
Previous studies have emphasized the influence of the school environment on students' prosocial behavior. However, few studies still concentrate on alternative mechanisms that contribute to developing students' prosocial behavior. This study aimed to investigate how moral identity plays a role as a mediator in the relationship between school climate and students' prosocial behavior in inclusive schools. A cluster random sampling technique was used to select participants. This study included 872 children attending inclusive schools in Surabaya City. The research instrument used a scale of moral identity (α=0.918), prosocial behavior (0.740), and school climate (0.889). Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The study's findings indicate a positive relationship between the overall school climate and the tendency of regular students in inclusive schools to engage in prosocial activities. This relationship is influenced by the role of moral identity as a mediator. These findings enhance our understanding of the importance of moral identity and have practical implications for intervention programs aimed at improving prosocial behavior among regular students in inclusive schools.

Isrida Yul Arifiana, Fattah Hanurawan, Imanuel Hitipeuw, Fulgentius Danardana Murwani ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/persona/article/view/11281 Sun, 28 Jul 2024 13:39:21 +0000 Efektivitas pelatihan resiliensi untuk menurunkan stres akademik mahasiswa: Randomized PreTest, PostTest and Follow-Up https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/persona/article/view/10841
Academic stress not only occurs in students at school but also occurs in many college students. Several studies have shown that irrational thoughts about self-confidence and low resilience are related to high academic stress. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of resilience training to reduce academic stress in students. This study is an experimental study with a Randomized Pre-Test, Post-Test, and Follow-Up (RPPF) design. Researchers randomly divided participants into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received eight sessions of resilience training intervention for three weeks, with two to three sessions per week, each lasting 90 minutes. Both groups underwent measurements before the intervention (pre-test), after the intervention (post-test), and two weeks after the intervention (follow-up). This research instrument used an academic stress scale (α =0.842). Data analysis using Multivariate Analysis of Covariance showed that resilience training had significant effectiveness in reducing academic stress in students. The implications of further research are discussed.
Siti Nurlaila, Fattah Hanurawan, Nur Eva, Tutut Chusniyah ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/persona/article/view/10841 Sun, 28 Jul 2024 13:49:23 +0000 Model kecerdasan emosi remaja Indonesia: Studi dengan penerapan Structural Equation Modeling https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/persona/article/view/10717
Emotional intelligence is one of the predictors of adolescent success in the future, so the antecedents of emotional intelligence are very important to know. This study aims to examine the formation of adolescent emotional intelligence in terms of the influence of external factors, namely maternal authoritative parenting patterns, and internal factors, namely self-concept and emotional regulation. The research design used a quantitative approach on high school students (n = 377) of adolescent age who were selected by cluster random sampling. Adolescent emotional intelligence was measured using the TEI-Que Scale (α = 9.869), maternal authoritative parenting patterns were measured using the PSDQ Scale (α = 0.720), self-concept was measured using the PSC Scale (α = 0.928), and emotional regulation was calculated using the ERQ-Ca Scale (α = 0.892). The Structural Equation Model (SEM), which was processed through the AMOS version 26 program, was used to analyze the data. The research findings show that the mother's authoritative parenting pattern and self-concept mediated by emotional regulation have a positive and significant influence on the formation of adolescent emotional intelligence. The implications of this research are to provide support for Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory, which can be used as a reference in forming adolescent emotional intelligence.
Ine Luna Dianti, Budi Eko Soetjipto, Tutut Chusniyah, Ika Andrini Farida ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/persona/article/view/10717 Sun, 28 Jul 2024 23:00:28 +0000 Mencegah kekambuhan pada pecandu narkoba: Bagaimana peranan craving dan dukungan keluarga? https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/persona/article/view/10983
Previous research data shows that drug users who have undergone rehabilitation can still experience relapse, so research that identifies factors that cause relapse is essential. This study aims to examine the relationship between craving and family support with the tendency to relapse. The research participants were 97 drug addicts undergoing rehabilitation at several rehabilitation institutions in Surabaya and Gresik. The research scale was compiled by the researcher himself, consisting of a relapse scale (α = 0.935), which refers to the theory of Gorski and Miller, a craving scale (α = 0.899), which refers to Drummond's theory, and a family support scale (α = 0.949) which refers to Friedman's theory. The research data were analyzed using multiple regression tests. The results of the partial test showed that the higher the craving in people with an addiction who had undergone rehabilitation, the higher their tendency to relapse. However, the results of the partial test also proved that solid family support made the tendency to relapse lower. The results of the study simultaneously also showed that craving and family support were predictors of the tendency to relapse in drug addicts after rehabilitation. These findings are expected to broaden understanding of clinical psychology and provide practical guidelines for former addicts to prevent relapse through efforts to reduce cravings and increase family support.
Niken Titi Pratitis; Muhammad Rizky Fananni ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/persona/article/view/10983 Mon, 02 Sep 2024 08:45:35 +0000 Perceived seriousness dan kepatuhan pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2: Psychological distress sebagai moderator https://jurnal.untag-sby.ac.id/index.php/persona/article/view/10599
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease with a high global prevalence, so efforts to reduce the prevalence of this disease are needed.
