Pengembangan Aplikasi Kuesioner Dosen dan Mata Kuliah Berbasis Web Pada Program Studi D3 Teknologi Informasi Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Important elements in a tertiary institution are lecturers and courses. Lecturers play a role in educating the life of the nation. Subjects determine the quality of higher education. The State Polytechnic of Tanah Laut evaluates the performance of lecturers and courses using a questionnaire form using Microsoft Excel. Problems that occur, officers have difficulty in recording data and require quite a long time. Based on these problems, research was carried out to build a lecturer questionnaire application and web-based courses. There are drawbacks after the application is made, namely that it does not display the Teaching Achievement Index for lecturers and the Subject Index as a representation of the value of the quality of lecturers and courses. Overcoming these deficiencies, the Development of Lecturer Questionnaire Applications and Web-Based Courses was created in the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Tanah Laut State Polytechnic, built with ERD, DFD, Flowchart, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and MySQL. The purpose of developing the web-based lecturer questionnaire and course application development is to make it easier for students to fill out questionnaires, make it easier to manage questionnaires and activate time for recording and processing the results of lecturer and course questionnaires.

Elemen penting dalam sebuah Perguruan Tinggi adalah dosen dan mata kuliah. Dosen berperan dalam mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Mata kuliah menentukan kualitas dari perguruan tinggi. Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut melakukan evaluasi kinerja dosen dan mata kuliah dengan form kuesioner dengan menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Permasalahan yang terjadi petugas kesulitan dalam perekapan data dan membutuhkan waktu cukup lama. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, dilakukan penelitian untuk membangun aplikasi kuesioner dosen dan mata kuliah berbasis web. Terdapat kekurangan setelah dibuat aplikasi tersebut yaitu belum menampilkan Indeks Prestasi Mengajar dosen dan Indeks Mata Kuliah sebagai representasi nilai dari kualitas dosen dan mata kuliah.  Mengatasi kekurangan tersebut, dibuatlah aplikasi kuesioner dosen dan mata kuliah berbasis web pada program studi Teknik Informatika Politeknik Negeri Tanah Laut yang dibangun dengan ERD, DFD, Flowchart, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, dan MySQL. Tujuan dibangun Pengembangan Aplikasi Kuesioner Dosen dan Mata Kuliah Berbasis Web tersebut untuk memudahkan mahasiswa dalam pengisian kuesioner, memudahkan pengelola kuesioner dan mengaktifkan waktu pada perekapan dan pengolahan hasil kuesioner dosen dan mata kuliah.
