ANALISA PENGARUH PUTARAN DAN PENAMBAHAN KARET PENGUPAS BAWANG TERHADAP KAPASITAS DAN KUALITAS PRODUKSI

Abstract

Onion (Allium Ascalonicum L) is one of horticultural crops commodities consumed by humansas a mixture of spices after chilli. In addition to the mixture of red onion seasoning is also soldin the form of processed extract of onion, powder, essential oil, fried onions even as ingredientsto reduce cholesterol, blood sugar, prevent blood clots. The development of science andtechnology, has provided a very rapid change in all aspects of human life, especiallyappropriate technology such as machinery that is very supportive to facilitate production inhome industry. The purpose of research on onion peeler machine to be achieved is To knowthe effect of rotation and addition of peeler rubber to the capacity and production quality.Variations were made using different speeds of 100 rpm, 150 rpm, 200 rpm, and peeler rubber2, 4, 8. From the observations on rpm variations and the addition of rubber peeler, the greaterthe rotation and the more peelers rubber affect the production quality. The best result of thetest is using rubber 4 at 150 rpm is 12,9 Kg / h from observation got good peeler result thatslough onion peel almost completely peeled and on onion peeler not too thick.
