INOVASI ALAT MESIN KAYU YANG ERGONOMIS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN OUTPUT PRODUKSI PADA UKM FURNITURE
Abstract
Perkembangan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) furniture saat ini belum menunjukan hasil yang lebih baik dalam perkembangannya. Peralatan yang digunakan masih relatif sederhana dan masih manual. Banyak UKM furniture yang berada di sentral UKM furniture daerah Mojowarno, Jombang, Jawa Timur masih menggunakan peralatan yang sedernana dalam melakukan kegiatan produksi dalam menghasilkan produk furniture berbahan baku kayu jati. Pada saat permintaan tinggi banyak UKM yang tidak mau memenuhi permintaan konsumen karena kapasitas produksi yang terbatas dan model jenis produk yang masih klasik, sehingga perlu adanya perubahan produk yang lebih baik. Dengan menggunakan peralatan yang ergonomis UKM furniture akan mampu memenehi kebutuhan konsemen sesuai dengan harapan yang diinginkan dari para pemakai produk. Penggunan mesin bor dan mesin potong yang ergonomis mampu dalam meningkatakan produksi di UKM furniture. Hasil pengamatan menunjukan bahwa dengan mesin baru dengan menggunakan tenaga listrik didesain secara ergonomis memberikan dampak nyata bahwa peralatan baru mampu meningkatan kapasitas produksi dan lebih aman digunakan. Analisis data terdapat perubahan kecepatan kerja dengan silisih rata-rata waktu mengebor 50 %, waktu pemosisian mata bor 51%, waktu setup 39% dan waktu perpindahan 40%. Perubahan kecepatan kerja berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan efisiensi dan efektivitas kerja di UKM furniture. Pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam menggunakan mesin peralatan yang baru, menunjukan dampak yang positif terhadap keberadaan UKM furniture. Nampak pada keuntungan dan kesejakteraan para pelaku UKM furniture meningkat, karena semua kebutuhan konsumen dapat terpenuhi dan mampu meningkatkan omset para UKM furniture.
