Abstract
ABSTRACT
This community service activity in the Gunung Anyar Village area, Surabaya City, was carried out as an implementation of Tridharma PT with the theme "Development of toga plants for family health and potential for household-scale industries."is a series of community service activities for lecturers and students of the Surabaya Institute of Health and Business in 2023. Given the demographic potential of the Gunung Anyar Village area, then pThe development of local community empowerment is an effort to increase the community's ability to manage and utilize the resources they have, as well as to increase the community's active participation in various fields.
Based on the results of community service activities in the Gunung Anyar Village area, Surabaya City, it can be concluded as follows: a). Empowerment of yards by planting toga plants is very beneficial for the risk of family health problems and provides additional income opportunities for making herbal drinks; b). The creation of a healthy and beautiful environment with the presence of toga plants and other productive plants, for example the presence of vegetable and fruit plants so as to provide additional nutritional intake such as fiber and vitamins; c). Community empowerment will encourage creativity and initiative in developing better household-scale businesses so that they can increase the quantity of product sales; d). The implementation of community service activities is proven to have a significant impact on increasing public knowledge about the importance of maintaining health and productive business as well as increasing student abilities and skills regarding community knowledge.
