Efektivitas Pelatihan Regulasi Emosi untuk Menurunkan Stres dan Meningkatkan Kualitas Hidup Pada Penderita Diabetes Mellitus Tipe II
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada efektivitas pelatihan regulasi emosi untuk menurunkan stress dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pada penderita diabetes mellitus tipe II. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan bentuk rancangan pretest postest with control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat pengumpulan data berupa kuisioner kualitas hidup dan kuisioner stress yang disusun oleh peneliti. Pengukuran pretest dan posttest dilakukan terhadap kedua kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen untuk kemudian dilakukan perhitungan selisih skor pretest posttest. Selisih skor antara kedua kelompok kemudian dibandingkan. Tiap kelompok beranggotakan 6 orang subyek penderita diabetes mellitus tipe II yang berusia 39 hingga 54 tahun. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Mann-Whitney dengan bantuan program SPSS 16.00.
Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rerata yang bermakna dari skor stress antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen memiliki taraf signifikansi (Ï = 0.019 < α 0.05), dan terdapat perbedaan rerata yang bermakna dari skor kualitas hidup antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen memiliki taraf signifikansi (Ï = 0.004 < α 0.05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan regulasi emosi berpengaruh dalam menurunkan stress dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pada penderita diabetes mellitus tipe II.
