PENINGKATAN PERFORMANCE INDEX TEGANGAN MELALUI PEMASANGAN KAPASITOR BANK PADA GARDU INDUK DISTRIBUSI 20 KV : STUDY CASE GARDU INDUK BETUNG
Abstract
This study aims to improve the voltage performance index on the distribution line of PLN's electricity network with medium voltage customers at Betung Substation through the installation of capacitor banks. There are 7 distribution channels in Betung Substation, namely Pempek Feeder, Bakwan Feeder, Model Feeder, Lenggang Feeder, Celimpungan Feeder, Tempoyak Feeder and Kroket Feeder. The value of the voltage drop that occurs in each channel when operating is in the Pempek Reinforcement of 5.12%, Bakwan Reinforcement of 10.13%, Model Reinforcement of 4.13%, Lenggang Reinforcement of 2.5%, Celimpungan Reinforcement of 1.88%, Tempoyak Reinforcement of 5.6% and Kroket Reinforcement of 1.5%. The analysis shows that the voltage drop on the Bakwan Feeder does not meet PLN standards (SPLN T6.001: 2013 Standard Voltage), which is ± 10%. To overcome this, improvement efforts were made by installing capacitors on Bakwan (4061.31kVAR), Pempek (447.94kVAR), and Tempoyak (445.43kVAR). The research method involves collecting relevant data, contingency simulation to identify problematic lines, and voltage performance index simulation using ETAP application. The simulation results showed that the addition of capacitors succeeded in increasing the voltage on each repeater according to PLN standards. This research has positive implications for improving performance index in Gardu Induk Betung when contingency happen.
