Abstract

Good grounding quality will provide safety assurance to humans as users of electrical equipment and, at the same time, be part of the reliability of the electrical equipment work system. Two important factors to obtain the grounding resistance value are the position of the electrode to be planted and the soil resistivity value where the electrode is planted. The soil resistivity value can be a determining factor in the depth of electrode planting as a current distributor into the soil in addition to the size of the electrode cross-section used. Each region has a different soil resistivity value, which is influenced by environmental conditions and factors. This study focuses on examining the soil resistivity value in the highlands by taking samples in the village of Sajen Pacet Mojokerto at several 8 experimental points taken in 4 hamlets. The results obtained show that for hamlet no. 1 the soil resistivity value is 1631.49 Ω cm, hamlet no. 2 = 1634.89 Ω cm, hamlet no. 3 the soil resistivity value is 1040.64 Ω cm, hamlet no. 4 the soil resistivity value is 1174.56 Ω m, and hamlet no. 5 the soil resistivity value is 1942.54 Ω cm. And in Hamlet No. 6, the soil resistivity value is 1848.28 Ω cm.
