Pengembangan Sistem IoT Untuk Monitoring Kelembapan dengan Fitur Pengembunan Otomatis Pada Budidaya Jamur Tiram
Abstract
The potential for oyster mushroom cultivation in Tanah Laut Regency is highly promising due to the presence of cool climatic conditions in several hilly areas. This study aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring and automatic misting system for oyster mushroom cultivation to improve the efficiency of environmental management within the cultivation chamber. The system is developed to monitor environmental parameters—particularly temperature and humidity—in real-time, and to automatically control the misting process based on predetermined threshold values. The hardware components consist of a DHT22 sensor for measuring temperature and humidity, and an ESP32 microcontroller serving as the main processing unit. The sensor readings are transmitted and synchronized via the Firebase Realtime Database, and subsequently displayed through the Smart Mushroom Android application. The application is designed to present environmental data, system status, and notification history through an interactive, informative, and user-friendly interface. When the humidity level drops below the threshold, the system automatically activates a relay that controls a water pump or mist maker to restore humidity to a stable condition. In addition, the system sends notifications to the user through the application as a form of alert and confirmation of system actions.
