Psychological well-being pada dewasa awal lajang: Bagaimana peranan loneliness?
Abstract
Psychological well-being is crucial for individuals to perform optimally and achieve fulfilling lives. The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship between psychological well-being and loneliness among young single adults. This study utilized quantitative correlational research methodology. The study included 177 single early adult students who were selected randomly. Psychological assessment in this study utilized Russell's (1996) loneliness scale and Ryff & Singer's (2006) psychological well-being scale. Data analysis involved the use of Pearson's product-moment correlation analysis. The findings showed a statistically significant inverse correlation between psychological well-being and loneliness among young single adults. Low levels of loneliness can promote psychological health, enabling young adults to reach their full potential even in the absence of romantic relationships.
