Kesiapan kerja mahasiswa S1 dan D4 ditinjau dari self-efficacy

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and work readiness, as well as differences in the relationship between self-efficacy and work readiness in undergraduate and D-IV students. Work readiness is the potential and ability that individuals have in achieving success in the type of work they want. In theory, work readiness has one aspect, namely self-efficacy, which forms work readiness through individual beliefs about their abilities and potential. The research sample involved 106 D-IV students and 124 undergraduate students in the Surabaya area. The sampling technique used was non probability sampling with snowball sampling method. The measuring instruments used in the study were self-efficacy scale and work readiness scale. The data obtained by researchers were then analyzed using regression analysis and fisher Z transformation. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, it is found that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and work readiness and there are differences in the relationship between self-efficacy and work readiness in S1 and D4 students. The acceptance of the hypothesis in this study shows that self-efficacy in students is related to work readiness. The higher the self-efficacy owned, the better the work readiness of undergraduate and postgraduate students, and vice versa, the lower the self-efficacy owned, the lower the work readiness owned by undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan kesiapan kerja, serta perbedaan hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan kesiapan kerja pada mahasiswa S1 dan D-IV. Kesiapan kerja merupakan potensi dan kemampuan yang dimiliki individu dalam mencapai suatu kesuksesan pada jenis pekerjaan yang di inginkan. Dalam teorinya, kesiapan kerja memiliki aspek salah satunya yakni keyakinan diri yang membentuk kesiapan kerja melalui keyakinan individu terhadap kemampuan dan potensi yang dimiliki. Sampel penelitian melibatkan 106 mahasiswa D-IV dan 124 mahasiswa S1 di wilayah Surabaya. Teknik Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling dengan metode snowball sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah skala self-efficacy dan skala kesiapan kerja. Data yang diperoleh peneliti kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi dan transformasi fisher Z. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan didapatkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan siginifikan antara self-efficacy dengan kesiapan kerja serta terdapat perbedaan hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan kesiapan kerja pada mahasiswa S1 dan D4. Diterimanya hipotesis dalam penelitian ini, menunjukan bahwa self-efficacy pada mahasiswa berkaitan dengan kesiapan kerja. Semakin tinggi self-efficacy yang dimiliki maka semakin baik kesiapan kerja pada mahasiswa S1 dan D4, begitupula sebaliknya semakin rendah self-efficacy yang dimiliki maka semakin rendah pula kesiapan kerja yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa S1 dan D4.
