Article Publishing Charge (APC) Policy for Jurnal Penelitian Administrasi Publik (JPAP)

Purpose:

Jurnal Penelitian Administrasi Publik (JPAP) recognizes the importance of open access publishing and aims to promote accessibility and sustainability in scholarly communication. This Article Publishing Charge (APC) Policy outlines the guidelines for authors, editors, and reviewers regarding the payment of APCs in accordance with the standards set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

Policy:

APC Requirement:

Starting from January 1, 2026, JPAP requires authors to pay the APC for all articles accepted for publication. The specific APC amount will be determined and communicated by JPAP later. The estimate is $20 for international authors and 350.000 IDR for national authors.

APC Exemptions:
Editors and reviewers who contribute to the progress of JPAP will be exempt from paying APCs for their own articles.
This exemption applies for a maximum of two years after they have actively contributed to JPAP. This also serves as a form of recognition for the dedication they have shown to JPAP.
Renowned authors who have a reputation in research relevant to the aims and scope of JPAP may potentially be eligible for discounts based on the quality of the article's substance and the absence of grammatical errors in their submitted articles. The criteria for renowned authors are determined by their track record of publishing research articles aligned with the aims and scope of JPAP in renowned publishers with high impact factors within the last 5 years as first authors or corresponding authors, and having an h-index greater than 5 in both Scopus and Web of Science. This policy serves JPAP in obtaining high-quality articles.
