Abstract

Waste management issues are increasingly urgent in this modern era, requiring innovative solutions to efficiently monitor waste conditions. This article proposes and implements an image capturing system that uses the ESP32-Cam module to monitor waste in real-time. The system utilizes the ESP32-Cam's ability to capture images and transfer them to the Telegram communication platform. The ESP32-Cam, an ESP32-based microcontroller equipped with a camera, is used as the core device in this system. The camera module allows capturing high-quality images of the surrounding environment. The ESP32 microcontroller has WiFi connectivity capability, which allows sending images to the Telegram server. The system is designed to monitor specific areas that may be illegal or full garbage dumps. Users can access the images through a Telegram group integrated with the system. The system is also equipped with an automatic notification feature to the Telegram group when it detects certain conditions, such as the presence of a pile of garbage that reaches a certain limit.
