Abstract

This community service activity was carried out with the aim of improving managerial and marketing capacity at Tempe MSMEs, Tenggilis Mejoyo, Surabaya, East Java. The main problems faced by partners include the absence of a financial recording system, limited product packaging and promotion, and a lack of manpower, which has an impact on production inconsistencies. The method used in this activity is a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the activity show that partners have begun to implement simple transaction recording using cash books and use new packaging made of food-grade plastic with informative brand labels. The use of social media as a means of promotion has also begun to be implemented and has been able to reach new customers. In addition, the involvement of local residents as part-time workers has succeeded in helping to overcome the surge in production demand. This activity proves that through the right socialization and mentoring approach, MSMEs can develop more professionally and competitively.
